Child Safety Standards

Planout is operated by Codeaamy FZCO ("Planout", "we", "us"). These are our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They explain what we prohibit, how anyone can report it, how we respond, and who to contact.

1. What is prohibited

The following are prohibited anywhere on Planout — in chat messages, shared images, group and event names, itinerary entries, profile details, and any other content you can create or send through the app:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video or other depiction of a minor in a sexually explicit context, real or generated;
• Sexualisation of minors — sexual descriptions of, comments about, or requests directed at a person under 18;
• Grooming — building a relationship with a minor to enable sexual abuse or exploitation, including attempts to move a minor to another platform for that purpose;
• Sextortion — threatening to expose intimate imagery of a minor to obtain money, further imagery, or any other benefit;
• Child trafficking — advertising, arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor;
• Solicitation — requesting sexual content from a minor, or offering it to anyone; and
• Inappropriate contact — any sexual or romantic approach by an adult to a person known or believed to be under 18.

This applies regardless of intent, framing, or whether the content is described as fictional, artistic, or AI-generated.

2. Who can use Planout

You must be at least 13 years old — or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if that is higher — to use Planout. If you are under 18, you may only use Planout with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. These are the same requirements set out in our Terms & Conditions.

Planout is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we close it and delete the associated data, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. How Planout is designed to reduce risk

Planout is a tool for planning with people you already know. Several deliberate product decisions limit the ways a stranger could reach a young person here:

• No stranger matching. Planout has no dating features, no matching algorithm, and no way to be introduced to people you do not know.
• No public discovery. There is no public directory of users, no public profiles, and no browsable feed of groups or events. Nothing you create is visible to the public web.
• Groups are closed by invitation. You join a group or event only when an existing member adds you — through your phone's contacts or an invite link they choose to send you. Content is visible only to the members of that group or event.
• Contacts stay on your device's terms. Contact-based invitations only ever run after you grant the OS contacts permission, and are matched against people already in your address book.

4. How to report CSAE

Anyone can report, and every report is read by a human.

In the app. Planout has a built-in reporting mechanism on every surface where content can be shared:

• A chat message — press and hold the message, then choose Report;
• A shared image — open the image, then choose Report image;
• An itinerary stop — open the stop's actions, then choose Report; and
• A whole group — open the group's menu, then choose Report group.

Choose Inappropriate content — or Harassment or bullying, where it fits — and the report reaches us with the content, the account that posted it, and where it appeared.

By email. For anything involving a child, and for reports about an account or conduct rather than one piece of content, email us directly. This is the fastest route and it is monitored specifically for child safety:

Do not forward or save the material. Possessing or sending it is itself an offence in most countries, even to report it. Tell us where it is and we will retrieve it through our own systems.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reporting to us is not a substitute for contacting the police.

5. How we respond to reports

Reports of CSAE are treated as the highest priority and are escalated ahead of all other moderation. On receiving one we:

• Review it promptly — child safety reports are triaged ahead of the queue, and we aim to act within 24 hours of receipt;
• Remove the content from the group or event it appeared in;
• Disable the account responsible, permanently and across the whole service, and remove it from every group and event it belongs to;
• Preserve the evidence — the content, account records and related logs are retained securely for law enforcement, separately from the live service, even after removal from the app;
• Report to the authorities as set out below; and
• Follow up with the reporter where they have given us a way to reach them and it is appropriate to do so.

We do not require a report to act. Where we become aware of CSAE through any other route, we take the same steps.

6. Legal compliance & reporting

We comply with the child protection laws that apply to us and to our users, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.

• Apparent child sexual abuse material involving the United States is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline.
• Elsewhere, we report to the competent national authority or hotline for the jurisdiction concerned — including the relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates, where Codeaamy FZCO is established, and in India, where our affiliate operates.
• We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement for records relating to a child safety investigation.

Disclosures made for these purposes are permitted by our Privacy Policy and by applicable data protection law, which allows sharing where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect someone's vital interests.
